I always approach vet medicine as if the patients were my own pets, and how I would want my pets to be treated and cared for. That’s exactly how and why I created Oklahoma Animal Urgent Care.
In 2019, I adopted a beautiful Australian Shepherd, Indie. She is so sweet and loving, but she is anxious and timid. It takes time for her to adjust to people and as I learned her behavior patterns and mannerisms, I thought about what it would be like to take her into a traditional veterinary clinic.
Why Oklahoma Animal Urgent Care Is Different
In many clinics, owners bring their pets into the office and the pets are taken away for treatments and diagnostics. For pets who are already anxious, this can lead to even more anxiety and create a traumatic experience for all involved.

I didn’t want that for Indie and I don’t want that for you or your pets. That’s why our team at Oklahoma Animal Urgent Care wants to include you in your pet’s treatment. I’ve created an open-concept clinic which allows you to be with your pet every step of the way. This type of setting encourages a better, less stressful experience for you and your four-legged family member
Less Stressful, Transparent Veterinary Experience
Our exam rooms are equipped with glass doors and situated around the treatment area, so you can see how we work with your pet or so you can accompany your pet and provide a calming presence. While this may not be the experience every client is seeking (not a fan of needles, we understand), I have found that this is an optimal way to offer transparency and build trust.

Compassionate Care When Privacy Is Paramount
For more difficult situations, such as end of life care, we provide a private room for you and your loved one. We know it’s a difficult decision and we want to provide you with the space and privacy to say goodbye.
Open Evenings & Weekends for Urgent Vet Care
We also know that some situations can’t wait, which is why we don’t require you to have an appointment for urgent care. While you have the ability to book your pet’s visit online, it's not a requirement for care. Our evening and weekend hours are also designed to allow you to seek care when your pet needs it, because illness and injury happen all hours of the day.

We want you to feel comfortable when you visit Oklahoma Animal Urgent Care and know that we have you and your pets best interests at heart.
We look forward to working with you and your pets.
